About the event
Takaicardia are a Gold Coast 3-piece fusion of grunge, psych and punk rock provoking irregular heartbeats with their thumping drum fills, distorted guitars and heavy breakdowns.
Coming off the back of their 2022 self-titled EP, Takaicardia are set to release their first piece for 2023.
The first single “Light to Dark” embodies all of what Takai are about, blending different genres that are of inspiration. A captivating Psychedlic melody ontop of a solid bass groove and luscious vibrato initiates the hearing. A fast, punky chord progression is put out as bait to reel you into the somewhat already familiar chorus. A heavy half-time breakdown follows before a mind melting solo rewards you with a happy ending.
