Join us for Gold Coast Sumba Sounds!
A chill afternoon full of live music, drinks, and warm hearts - all in support of The Sumba Project. In the rad venue of Mo’s desert clubhouse, this vibrant event brings our community together to support sustainable health initiatives on the beautiful but under-resourced island of Sumba, Indonesia.
The afternoon will be an opportunity to share the work we've been doing as a crew of med students and junior doctors passionate about global health. Since 2010, we’ve worked on the island alongside The Sumba Foundation to help create educational materials on malaria prevention, maternal and infant nutrition, Tuberculosis Disease, hand hygiene and we are currently creating a new Children’s book for breaking down taboos of seeking healthcare.
In 2026, we’re going back — and this event will help fund our projects and assist our volunteers in getting over there!
