In today’s current climate, plagued by safe, tedious and easy listening music, Guitar Wolf are just as important if not more so than they were when they formed in Harajuku,Japan, in 1987. To celebrate 30 years of their fierce in-your-face brand of Jet Rock n Roll, this December Guitar Wolf will be heading back to our shores for their 6th Australian tour, primed to stun audiences with their unrelenting, uncompromising, unstoppable and unforgettable live shows across the country.

Guitar Wolf had been destroying stages across Japan for 6 years with their energetic live performances before their first tour of the US in 1993. They had released three albums before being signed to Matador records when they impressed a record executive at an in-store performance in New York. The band has released 11 studio albums to date and a swath of live albums, singles and E.P.s. Guitar Wolf have toured with the likes of John Spencer’s Blues Explosion, The Cramps, Joan Jett and The 5,6,7,8’s, appeared in the 1997 film “Sore Losers” and zombie cult classic “Wild Zero” (2000) and to top all of that off their 1999 release “Jet Generation” was released labelled with the disclaimer:

“Warning: this is the loudest album ever recorded. Playing at normal volume may cause irreparable damage to stereo equipment. Use at your own risk.”

Guitar Wolf are guaranteed to put on a live show you will never forget. Don’t miss them on their Australian tour this December
