WHO IS MO?
The three directors at Mo's, met in the middle of the Nevada desert at Black Rock City in 2016. There the three dreamers spent ten wild days, exploring their creative limits, feeling right at home through radical expression and inclusion.
Upon returning to Australia, Emilia, Christian and Kim decided they needed a space to create from. All working in the creative and music industries, they found a shed in Burleigh Heads that had the potential to be what they were looking for. Blank warehouse walls and dirty concrete floors transformed quickly into quirky creative office spaces, rooms to rehearse, a space to hold events and creative arts in, a large stage and licensed bar... right in the heart of the industrial estate on the Southern end of the Gold Coast.
With the inspiration of the desert, that holds endless opportunity for creative expression, Mo's Desert Clubhouse was born. After a few long and hard years of breaking outside the confines of The Default World's squares, Mo's Desert Clubhouse has now truly established itself, pioneering the way for music, art, community and creative opportunity in South East Queensland.
Mo's has been built for creatives, by creatives with a strong focus on community and accessibility.
So who the hell is Mo? They are that friend, that has it going on, loves a good time and knows how to party. Mo loves music, art and creatively collaborating on rad shit. Mo is that pal that makes your creative dreams a reality.

Fibre artist Emilia Lorena is your guru when it comes to all things beautiful. Macrame is her forte with hundreds learning the art form from her tailored classes and installations. From creative workshops to event and wedding coordination Emilia has you sorted.

Illustration Artist and Designer
Poppy is an incredible artist and an award winning stationary designer. Poppy's HQ is based in a Mo's Studio Office and she also runs regular watercolour and illustration workshops within the warehouse.

MYSTIC RUFIO

Mystic Rufio is the magic maker behind Mo's 20 meter warehouse mural 'Desert Dreamer'. His psychedelic, cosmic flare brings a draw dropping time machine to Mo's and is the iconic feature wall at Mo's Desert Clubhouse. From 78 Lincoln's to magic cosmic women, Desert Dreamer is a masterpiece.
